These two podcasts discuss the Causes of Depression. As I speak on the Causes of Depression I share insights on steps you can take to overcome depression. We have a strong emphasis on the Whole-Person treatment of depression. What these means is that we do not believe medication is the only answer to depression. In fact, if the causes of depression are dealt with, there normally is no need for medication.
In these podcasts I discuss how lack of exercise, stress, relationship issues, improper nutrition, toxins in your body, and other factors can cause depression. Throughout these podcasts we share the message of hope.

This is another video on anorexia. It includes images of celebrities. There is a song that goes with the video. Be aware that this video has graphic images of the damage of anorexia.

Someone sent me a link to this video. It is a video to give an introduction to anorexia and eating disorders. It would be a good video to share with a young person.

I was recently interviewed by KOMO-TV in Seattle regarding the subject of the holiday season and how at times it can bring additional stress because of the busyness of the season, the potential for conflicts with family members, or maybe worried about the results of unhealthy eating. These issues along with the winter weather can cause individuals to get depressed.

She stated that finds the glamorization of ultra-thin "size zero" models and actresses "unbelievably disturbing" and says she keeps magazines featuring such women away from her 6-year-old daughter.
The 31-year-old Winslet, who burst on the movie scene in "Titanic" and stars in the current romantic comedy "The Holiday," said it was "unbelievably disturbing what's going on at the moment" with the popularity of the ultra-thin.
